VCCI (Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment)

Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment

VCCI Overview

Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment

A voluntary control measure for unwanted electromagnetic waves generated by information processing equipment. Although not a mandatory standard, it encourages compliance when shipping ITE products into Japan. To obtain VCCI certification, you must first join as a member. For the certification process, after testing is conducted at an accredited test lab, a Conformal Verification Report is sent to VCCI based on the results. Upon receipt, VCCI issues a Certificate of acceptance. For certified products, the VCCI mark must be affixed to the product label.
