Australia EMC and Communication Equipment Certification
A-tick, C-tick Overview
Australia EMC and Communication Equipment Certification
The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) is the telecommunications regulatory body of Australia, and it operates a new type-approval system that places greater responsibility on communication equipment suppliers than before. The basic approval procedure is divided into levels 1, 2, and 3 according to the applicable standard, with procedures differing slightly by level, and the corresponding label is required to be affixed. All products must meet the EMC requirements of Australian Standards AS 3548. The EMC standard is based on CISPR 22. For the requirements of the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM), an application form in the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 4417 part 3 must be submitted.
